Useful Information

Food

Please let us know any dietary requirements when you reply to the invitation!

We recommend having a light lunch or brunch before coming to the wedding ceremony.

There will be a main meal in the afternoon reception, mid to late afternoon. For those just coming to the wedding and the evening, there are plenty of food options in the centre of Cambridge.

In the evening, there will be a ploughman’s-style buffet available. There will also be a pay-as-you-go bar with a selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks available.

In Cambridge: There are numerous options for cafes and restaurants. Here are some recommendations (click on the link for a map). It may be worth booking these restaurants at peak times:

What to wear

Standard wedding attire, but make sure you can dance in it. We recommend bringing trainers or comfy shoes for dancing in the evening!

What’s a ceilidh

In the evening, we will be having a ceilidh (kay-lee). If you’ve never been to one before, don't worry, it's great fun for all ages and easy to pick up if you are new! There is a caller who teaches everyone how the dance will go and reminds you as you do it. We'd absolutely love everyone to get involved.

We recommend bringing trainers or comfy shoes for dancing.

Kids

Kids are very much welcome! Please feel free to bring along books, toys and games.

Kids’ portions of food will be available at the reception.

There is a playground and playing fields adjacent to the reception venue, and Sainsbury’s opposite.

Wedding presents

The most valuable thing you can bring is yourself; nothing further is needed.

We’ll have a guest book there on the day, and we’d love it if people would share a prayer, word or picture for us, a key memory, quote, tune, song, etc.

If you would particularly like to give us something, we’ll have a link nearer the time here.

If you have questions on the day

Please have a chat with one of our grooms/bridespeople. They may know the answer to your question.
